Day 1 – Arrive Guangzhou

On arrival into Guangzhou and after completing all necessary Customs and Immigration formalities you will be met by your friendly China Holidays guide who will transfer you to White Swan Hotel or similar where you will spend one night. After lunch, you will visit the ancient Chen Clan Academy – a traditional Chinese garden showcases the culture of Guangdong Province. The Shamian Island – located on the Pearl River, is a relic of colonial architectures tells the history of Guangzhou City. (L/D)

This morning you will visit one of the four greatest temples in Guangdong – Nanhua Temple. It is a famous Buddhist site, where the sixth founder of the Buddhism generation in Tang Dynasty (618-907), Hui Neng, established the southern sect of Zen. With a history of 1,500 years, the temple keeps many national treasures, including the Da Zang Sutra, decree and cassock of thousand years ago. After lunch you will take the bus to Zhaoqing and check in Zhaoqing International Grand Hotel or similar where you will spend one night. (B/L/D)
